Dear Folks,

We have made the cross-
ing without mishap. I geussguess all
of us are feeling good now. It
has not been hard to bump up
against an old acquaintance
so far.
It is going to be hard to write
a letter that will pass the cen
-sor for a while. It may be
that it will go better after a few
trials. I may not be able to find
anything about Bill for some time.
We all got a letter of welcome from
his majesty. They all seem glad
to see us and they are all puffed
up with the idea that the American
is rich. I thought soldiers were
thick in America but they are
a whole lot thicker here. Crops are
coming along all right over here and
every inch is in crop. After a little
practice I'll write longer but for
this time "good bye".

Wendell
