Dear Dr. Jerome,

I have been putting off writing a note to tell
you I am sorry personally that you are leaving Bowling
Green
Bowling Green State University
, and that I regret your move for Bowling GreenBowling Green State University's
good. Now I feel I cannot procrastinate any longer.

The meetings this afternoon were one more thing
that made me respect many moves and statements you have
made. I, too, sincerely feel it would be a good thing
to have your statements of today made public. Many came
away with very deep, sincere, and concerned feelings.
A better informed person is a more involved person. I
honestly wish everyone could hear your remarks and also
Virginia Leland's.

Let us hope you will have left a lasting concern
here in Bowling GreenBowling Green State University and that for you, you may find
and keep that personal freedom.

Sincerely,

Mrs. Alice S. Wall
