After the Kent State Shootings: Bowling Green State University's Reaction

Thank you for your Parents' Report of May 11th, 1970 for concerned
Parents.

This was a great relief to know about the situation and how you, and
your Faculty and the Students, were working together to prevent any
harm or threat to the members of the Community and the Students
during the trying times of the past few weeks.

Mrs. McIlvain and I wish to express our appreciation to you, and I
know that many Parents feel the same way.

We are sorry to learn that you are leaving Bowling GreenBowling Green State University, as we have
had a very pleasant relationship with you, and all concerned, while
our Daughter has been in School there.

Wishing you continued success in your many endeavors,

Thank you for writing concerning the letter you recently received
from the University. The openness and understanding of the parents dur-
ing the recent disturbances on campus have been most refreshing. We are
delighted that this letter relieved some of your anxiety, and hope it assured
you of our deep conviction to maintain a peaceful and educational atmosphere
on the Bowling GreenBowling Green State University campus.
