Dear President Jerome,

In this time of great upheaval on campuses in Ohio and
across the country, with thousands of Americans questioning the
nation's administration, it is reassuring to have a man of your
stature at the head of our university.

During the past few days’ confrontations, you have shown
your wisdom in dealing with the students on this campus. Though
we may not agree with all of your policies, we have faith in you
and your decisions. You have undoubtedly gained the respect and
support of a great number of the campus population. We know you
have ours.

We realize what you are up against with the students,
the administration, the faculty, and the board of trustees and
believe you are doing what you think is best for all concerned.

Thank you for your time and patience when time is short
and patience thin.

you and your friends. I feel most indebted to an
excellent student body who worked diligently to
maintain a peaceful and educational atmosphere on
this campus during the tragedy of the past several
weeks.

I would appreciate your passing this letter

Thanks to all of you from the depth of my heart.
