Dear President Jerome:
In the past you and I have not always been on the same
side. As a member of the BGBowling Green State University News staff under Tom Hine, I
was aware of this all too often.
However, I did want you to know that, regarding what you
have done in the past few days, I have more respect and
admiration for you than ever before.
This morning I heard a newscast, which said in part, "Last
night 7000 Bowling Green State University students par-
ticipated in a silent, candel lightcandlelight protest march through the
city of Bowling Green. There was not a single incident."
I have never been quite so proud of my University, or of an
administration who understood the students and realized the
importance of that march.
Thank you for understanding.
