Primarily the Civil War era correspondence of Frederick and John Kehrwecker from 1861 through 1863, the collection also includes miscellaneous other letters, including a small series of Civil War letters in German, legal documents, family genealogical material, printed items, photographs, and an oral interview with family member Anna Kehrwecker taped in 1959.
