Scrapbook containing magazine covers and articles about the Beatles, including People and Time magazines. Articles include features on band members while the group was together and after the group broke-up. Other articles include information about the whole musical group. Of note are several articles pertaining to the death of John Lennon.

Collection containing examples of legacy audio and video formats. Created by MLBSSA staff from duplicates and out-of-scope donations to provide examples of interesting, unusual, and historic audio and video formats for teaching, study, and presentation.
Lonesome Gal Radio Show Collection
This collection contains 9 discs with 1 Lonesome Gal show per side. Shows generally contain: an introduction, commercials of varying lengths, commentary or anecdotes that led into romantic songs, and the show closing. The commentary and anecdotes often express the host's lonliness and her affection for the (usually male) listener. The collection also contains a folder of radio show program notes, including track timings, suggested playlists, and cues for disc jockeys.
Monkees Fan Scrapbook
Scrapbook contains magazine clippings related to the Monkees. Many clippings were taken from 16 Magazine.

Buttons and pins largely designed to advertise and promote musicians, bands, and albums, with some dedicated to record labels, record shops, and other related organizations.
Music Calendar Collection
Collection consists of calendars, mostly created for promotional or marketing purposes featuring photographs of bands, musicians, record labels, or other music-related images. Most calendars contain individual and group shots of the artists. Some have additional information about the featured artists or musical genres, or have important musical dates marked in the calendar.
Music Posters Collection
Music Promotional and Marketing Objects Collection
This collection contains various objects used as promotional and marketing material for music albums, musical artists, concert tours, and music videos. It includes games, bags, and apparel from the 1960's to 2010's as well as toys, drinkware, ticket stubs, promotional displays and more. The artists these materials were produced for range widely in genre, including the Beatles, Quincy Jones, and R.E.M. Some of the matierals promote record companies rather than specific artists.
Nappy Brown Alternate Takes Collection
Nelson Eddy Appreciation Society Collection
Collection consists of 44 cassette tapes, likely traded or mailed by members of the Nelson Eddy Appreciation Society in the 1990s, including live performanes, remembrances, and audio from his film and television appearances. Some tapes may also be copies of Eddy's commercial recordings.
Ny Martin Collection of Filk Material
The Ny Martin Collection of Filk Materials contains information on northeastern US filk music culture and fan communities of the late 20th and early 21st century.

Scrapbook features newspaper articles about various music festivals from 1960s-1970s, including Woodstock, Powder Ridge, Hampton Pop, Manseau Pop, Mariposa Folk, and others.
Popular Music Artist Marketing Materials
Collection contains promotional and marketing files, mostly for popular and rock music artists and bands, including promotional materials from record labels, some clippings from newspapers and magazines, promotional photographs, some press releases, and other ephemeral marketing materials. Fewer folders relate to music venues, movie and television soundtracks, and musical genres.

R. Serge Denisoff MTV Research Files
Collection consists of research files compiled by popular culture scholar R. Serge Denisoff during his resarch on MTV Music Television in the 1980s and early 1990s. Collection includes MTV promotional materials and publications, articles clipped or copied from various media sources, Denisoff's notes on MTV, selected papers by other scholars on MTV-related topics, lists of MTV citations in academic and media publications, MTV promotional photographs, and other related material.

Record Flat Collection
This collection contains several hundred record flats from the 1980s to the early 2000s. Record flats were promotional materials, usually for record stores, that are usually 12 inches square and were used by record labels to promote new releases and artists. The artists included on the flats cover many musical genres, including pop, rock, jazz and comedy. Most of these flats are 12"x12" squares but some are in shapes such as circles.

Sound Recording Carriers and Totes Collection
This collection contains record carriers and holders for 7, 10, and 12 inch records. It also contains some 8-track, cassette CD and phonograph cylinder carriers. Many of these carriers contain record dividers and indexes, some of which contain notes and lists from previous owners.
Teen Fan Scrapbook circa 1968
Contains magazine clippings about the following figures: The Cowsills, a family musical group; Mark Lindsay, musician and actor; Christopher Jones, actor; and Dark Shadows, a TV show that aired in the late 1960s.
