Introduction | The negative collection of the Northwest Ohio field office of the Ohio Historic Preservation Office in Bowling Green, Ohio consists of 1 linear foot of material, consisting of negatives and contact prints of Northwest Ohio historic buildings and sites. The material was collected by Ted Ligibel and was donated to the Center for Archival Collections when the office closed due to lack of funding in 1981. No restrictions exist on the use of this collection. Duplication is permitted for the purposes of preservation and research. The register was completed by Marilyn Levinson, Curator of Manuscripts in August 2000. |
Agency History | The Northwest Ohio Historic Preservation Office was co-sponsored by the Center for Archival Collections, Bowling Green State University, and the Landmarks Committee of the Maumee Valley Historical Society, and was administered by the Historic Preservation Office of the Ohio Historical Society. The office was closed in September 1981 due to loss of funding. |
Scope and Content | The negative collection of the Northwest Ohio field office of the Ohio Historic Preservation Office consists of roughly one linear foot of negatives and Perrysburg, Ohio Historic Inventory forms collected by Ted Ligibel during his tenure as Historic Preservation Officer for Northwest Ohio. The material includes 35mm negatives of residential, commercial, industrial, religious, public, institutional, and farm structures. A separate index provides access to the negatives. A related collection, the Ohio Historic Preservation Office, Northwest Ohio District (MS 817) contains the field office files documenting National Register properties and the project work of the district office from 1976-2000. |
