Agency History | The role of the cabinet is to work with the president to lead the central administration at BGSU. These individuals help shape the daily operation of the University. Members of Cabinet, in addition to the President, include Vice Presidents, the Chief Information Officer, Chief Marketing and Communications Officer; Chief Human Resources Officer; Director of Intercollegiate Athletics; and certain advisors to the president. |
Scope and Content | The Office of the President, Cabinet records contain meeting agendas, materials from meetings, printed emails, and some meeting notes. The records begin roughly four years into President Ribeau’s tenure, capture all of President Cartwright’s tenure, and roughly one year of President Mazey’s tenure, and complement their Office of the President records. The collection offers an almost uninterrupted chronological reflection of the issues the University President and their Cabinet considered on a monthly basis from August 1999 to June 2012. The cabinet meeting agendas and some notes cover topical issues on campus, strategic planning, and day-to-day running of the university. |
