Series Description | The collection consists mostly of official meeting minutes, agenda materials, correspondence, and reports of the Faculty Senate and its various committees. Rosters for many committees from 1969-2007 are available in the 2012 addition. There are also extensive documentation regarding the honorary degree process and the faculty charter revisions and interpretations. Also included for some years are runs of correspondence to and from the chair and the secretary of the senate. Researchers are cautioned that some files, such as scholarship committee records, contain personal information, such as social security numbers, and are subject to the Conditions for Use for this of the collection. Materials in this collection are grouped by the year they were added to the Archives. Within each group the records are in roughly alphabetical order and roughly within chronological order within the folders. There are exceptions, however, and at times there is no discernable order within a folder, or as in the 2014 addition no obvious order to the folders. Also, at times there are records dating from later than when the materials were purported to have been sent to the Archives and it can only be assumed that they were added to that grouping after the initial transfer (for example, the 1988 addition includes minutes, agendas and caledars up through 2007). Due to consolidation of materials during the April 2019 reprocessing effort, some box numbers are skipped. There are no boxes 1988-12, 1988-17, 1988-29, 1988-36. Finally, apparently during initial processing, box 2014-5 was omitted and it does not exist. |
