Agency History	The history honorary society Phi Alpha Theta was established in 1921 at the University of Arkansas. The Bowling Green State University, Gamma Upsilon chapter was established on June 5, 1950. Through the years the BGSU chapter has been involved in sponsoring lectures, history prizes, book sales and other events.
Scope and Content	This collection includes minutes and bylaws, correspondence, an account ledger and other materials related to the functioning of the BGSU chapter of Phi Alpha Theta. The most comprehensive coverage is for the years 1992 and 1993. During processing confidential materials (primarily including students social security numbers and grade information) was removed. Each year to determine eligibility for PAT, interest from students was obtained from members of the history faculty and then a report was generated by the registrar's office on the academic standing of those expressing interest. The originals of all these were destroyed during processing. Collection size: 1 legal sized manuscript box (0.50 cubic feet)
