Biographical Sketch | David Madden (1933- ) is an American author, literary critic and educator. He is the founder of the Creative Writing Program and the United States Civil War Center at Louisiana State University. He published his first novel, The Beautiful Greed, in 1961 and has published six more since then. The Suicide's Wife (1979) was nominated for the Pulitzer Prize. |
Scope and Content | The collection consists of a galley proof for the manuscript of Harlequin’s Stick, Charlie’s Cane: A Comparative Study of Commedia dell’arte and Silent Slapstick Comedy (1975), as well as assorted correspondence. |
