Introduction | The Edward Paul Wellen Collection consists of approximately 3.9 cubic feet of manuscript materials. The collection was donated to the Browne Popular Culture Library by Edward Wellen beginning in 1974. This collection is unprocessed, but may be accessed by contacting the BPCL reference email. The collection has no restrictions placed on its use for scholarly purposes. Researchers are responsible for securing copyright permission when using all unpublished manuscripts and published works found in this collection. |
Biographical Sketch | Edward Wellen (1919-2011) was an American author, primarily of short stories. Although working primarily in science fiction, he also wrote mystery stories that have been published in Ellery Queen's Mystery Magazine, Espionage Magazine, and Alfred Hitchcock's Magazine. Wellen's science fiction work appeared in Amazing, Magazine of Fantasy & Science Fiction, Galaxy and many other publications. His only science fiction novel, Hijack, was published in 1971. |
