Introduction	The Robert Presnell Jr. Collection consists of approximately 4.33 linear feet of manuscript materials. The collection was donated to the Browne Popular Culture Library by Robert Presnell, Jr. in 1974. This collection is unprocessed, but may be accessed by contacting the BPCL reference email. The collection has no restrictions placed on its use for scholarly purposes. Researchers are responsible for securing copyright permission when using all unpublished manuscripts and published works found in this collection.
Biographical Sketch	Robert Presnell, Jr. (1914-1986) was an American writer of radio, TV and movie scripts. He was the son of screenwriter Robert Presnell, Sr. and husband of actress Marsha Hunt. Presnell wrote and directed radio shows from the 1930s through the 1950s before turning to television, where he became best known. He wrote scripts for shows as varied as Twilight Zone, Banacek, The Virginian, and Rich Man, Poor Man, Book II. He published a novel titled Edgell's Island in 1951
Scope and Content	The collection contains manuscripts of TV and movie scripts, short stories and story fragments written by Robert Presnell, Jr. as well as correspondence and other materials.
