| Introduction | The Megan Hart Papers consist of 0.37 cubic feet of literary manuscripts, including short stories and novels, by the author. The materials were donated by Megan Hart in 2016. There are no restrictions placed on the collection for scholarly use, however all copyright and related interests remain with the author or her assigns. The collection was processed and the finding aid completed by Steve Ammidown, Manuscripts & Outreach Archivist, in August 2016. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Biographical Sketch | Megan Hart is the author of more than 25 published novels as well as numerous short stories and other works. Hart has written in almost every genre of romantic fiction, including historical, contemporary, romantic suspense, romantic comedy, futuristic, fantasy and perhaps most notably, erotic. She also writes non-erotic fantasy and science fiction, and has published several mainstream fiction novels. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Scope and Content | The collection includes manuscripts for 8 works, including novels and short stories. The genres for these works range from contemporary to erotic romance. The manuscripts are in various forms of completion and several contain significant handwritten annotations by the author. One manuscript is accompanied by visual inspiration for one of the male characters. These materials provide a valuable and unvarnished look into the author's process and represent the Library's first significant collection of erotic romance manuscripts. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
