Introduction

The records of Fairgreen United Presbyterian Church, formerly Rosewood Avenue Presbyterian Church and Fifth Presbyterian Church, were transferred for microfilming to the Center for Archival Collections, Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, Ohio with the cooperation of Dick Schroeder.

No restrictions exist on the use of this collection and duplication is permitted for research purposes.

Agency History

The Fifth Presbyterian Church, now Fairgreen United Presbyterian Church, was formally organized on October 1, 1889. When the church building became too small to accommodate an expanding membership, a new building was constructed. At that time the Church was renamed Rosewood Avenue Presbyterian Church. Fairgreen United Presbyterian Church was established as a mission church by members of the Rosewood congregation during the mid-1960s. The members of Rosewood transferred their membership to the new church after a building was constructed in 1966.
