Introduction | The records of the Trinity United Methodist Church, Bloomdale, Ohio, were transferred to the Center for Archival Collections, Bowling Green State University for microfilming in November 1982 with the cooperation of Larry Todd, Historian, and the Genealogical Society of Utah. The collection (1881-1973) consists of record books and minute books. Records from the Fostoria Circuit, which included churches in Rehoboth, Union, Eden, and Bloom, Ohio, are part of this collection. The churches of the Fostoria Circuit merged in 1902 to become the Trinity United Methodist Church. There are no restrictions on the research use of this collection. The Trinity United Methodist Church collection largely consists of church record books which generally contain lists of membership, baptisms, marriages, and deaths. Included in this collection are: a record book of the Fostoria Circuit, Findlay District, Central Ohio Conference (1881-1900); and six record books of the Trinity United Methodist Church (1900-1973). Other records in the collection consist of minutes, including: minutes of the Fostoria Circuit, Findlay District, Central Ohio Conference (1881-1898), minutes of the Building Committee and Board of Trustees (1902-1921); and minutes of the Women's Society of Christian Service in five volumes (1940-1967). This finding aid was prepared by Ann Jenks in November 1982. |
