W.C. Quincy to Frederick H. Short [44], 22 Sept 1873 [Box 1, Folder 46]Columbus, O., Sept 22, 1873 Dear Sir, I was in Deshler on Friday last and report to find that a large sale of lots had been made there without any reservation worth naming for Depot grounds for our Company. We should have not less than three acres. I called to see Mr. Deshler on Saturday, and told him that we must have sufficient ground for the "Y" track and Depot facilities. The "Y" track will cross lots 1, 2, 3 & 4. Mr. Deshler agrees with me that before title is give to these lots, that arrangements should be made to secure such as is absolute necessary for our purpose. Will you please give the matter immediate attention and advise me what can be done. Yours respectfully W.C. Quincy to Frederick H. Short [55], 22 Nov 1873 [Box 1, Folder 57]Columbus, O., Nov 22, 1873 Dear Sir, Our track layers will reach Deshler during the coming week, please let me know if you have received the right-of-way for the "Y" track through lots 1, 2, 3 & 4 and have also secured for Depot grounds lots 30, 32, 33, 35 & 64, you will remember in my interview with Mr. McLaren and yourself at Cincinnati it was agreed that you would obtain these lots for the purposes named.
