January 2, 1943RA Carter AS Mrs JL Carter Guess Whom I Ran Into Down Here? Sat Jan 2, 1942 at gate of Camp Berry Dale Copper Just saw him he didn't see me Isn't It A Small World?
Dear Mom, Waited all afternoon for Captain Lowry to inspect the office we are working in but he didn't stop in, just went by. Friday I had a job of washing thirty 4'x6' windows and I because the MA thought I did a better job then the rest he makes it nice. Today he let me go to another camp to deliver some blanks so I had a ride. As we entered the gate of Camp Berry I saw Dale Coppus standing by the gate. This is Saturday. If someone knows for sure he is there I would like to know for sure, but Im sure it was him. Next week will be our last full regular week and supposed to have only two more inspections, I hope. Still don't know when I find out if I make a trade school or not. A new hostess house is supposed to open Monday so am looking forward to another milkshake. Have been having coca cola at work in the insurance [---] every day. Am glad Dorothae sent the books, finding time for them. So much for now.
