Introduction | The Ohio Association of Garden Clubs Region I collection was donated to the Center for Archival Collections through the cooperation of Onalee Replagle in September of 1991. No restrictions exist on the use of this collection. Duplication is permitted for the purposes of preservation and research. The register was compiled by Marilyn Levinson, Curator of Manuscripts in July 2004. |
Agency History | The Ohio Association of Garden Clubs was established in March of 1930 and incorporated in 1959, with the goal of encouraging gardening, local beautification, and conservation. The Ohio Association of Garden Clubs, Region I, includes the counties of Williams, Fulton, Lucas, Defiance, Henry Wood and Paulding in Northwest Ohio. |
Scope and Content | The records of the Ohio Association of Garden Clubs, Region I consist primarily of minute books dating from 1955 through 1987. The information found in this material includes the minutes, program books, financial reports, officer lists, and correspondence of the organization. Also included in this collection is a file on Outstanding Regional Gardener competition, and also a selection of newspaper articles. |
