PCL MS 059 Susan Cohen Collection

The Susan Cohen Collection consists of approximately 0.75 linear feet of manuscript materials. The collection was donated to the Browne Popular Culture Library by Susan Cohen in 1976. This collection is unprocessed, but may be accessed by contacting the archivist.  The collection has no restrictions placed on its use for scholarly purposes. Researchers are responsible for securing copyright permission when using all unpublished manuscripts and published works found in this collection.


PCL MS 225 Harriette Coret Collection

The Harriette Coret Collection consists of approximately 3 linear feet of literary and personal manuscripts dating from the 1940s through the 2000s. The collection was donated  in August 2016 by Mrs. Coret's family. The collection has no restrictions placed on its use for scholarly purposes. Researchers are responsible for securing copyright permission when using all unpublished manuscripts and published works, whether authored by Harriette Coret or other writers. The collection was processed and the finding aid written by Manuscripts & Outreach Archivist Steve Ammidown in November 2016.

The Megan Hart Collection consists of 0.4 linear feet of literary manuscripts, including short stories and novels, by the author. The materials were donated by Megan Hart in 2016. There are no restrictions placed on the collection for scholarly use, however all copyright and related interests remain with the author or her assigns. The Julie Kenner Collection contains approximately 2 linear feet of literary manuscripts and associated materials for 8 works by the author.  The materials date approximately from 1999-2002. The materials were donated by Julie Kenner in 2005. There are no restrictions placed on the collection for scholarly use, however all copyright and related interests remain with the author or her assigns. The Pamela Daoust Collection contains approximately 4 linear feet of literary manuscripts and correspondence relating to more than 15 works by the author, writing as Katharine Kincaid.  The materials date approximately from 1985-1999. The materials were donated by Pamela Daoust in 2000. There are no restrictions placed on the collection for scholarly use, however all copyright and related interests remain with the author or her assigns. The collection was processed and the finding aid completed by Steve Ammidown, Manuscripts & Outreach Archivist, in August 2016.


PCL MS 214 Patricia McLinn Collection

The Patricia McLinn Collection contains approximately 9 linear feet of literary manuscripts and research materials for more than 20 works by the author.  The materials date approximately from 1991-2004. The materials were donated by Patricia McLinn in 2007. There are no restrictions placed on the collection for scholarly use, however all copyright and related interests remain with the author or her assigns. The collection was processed and the finding aid completed by Steve Ammidown, Manuscripts & Outreach Archivist, in August 2016.


PCL MS 210 Virginia Myers Collection

Virginia Myers is an American writer of contemporary and inspirational romance fiction. Four original typescripts of her works and correspondence with publishers, editors, and literary agents among others compromise the core of this collection.

Virginia Myers transferred her manuscripts to the Popular Culture Library, Bowling Green State University, in September 1998 and November 1999. The collection is open for research, but photocopying or other duplication of manuscripts must comply with applicable copyright laws. This finding aid was compiled by Debbie Chimahusky under the supervision of Jean Geist, Popular Culture Library Associate in April 1999. The finding aid was updated by Steve Ammidown, Manuscripts & Outreach Archivist in August 2016 with help from Loran Ramm, Student Assistant.


PCL MS 209 Gail Shelton Collection

The Gail Shelton Collection contains handwritten and typed literary manuscripts for one of the author’s works, written under the pen name Gail Dayton. The materials were donated by Gail Shelton in 2004. There are no restrictions placed on the collection for scholarly use, however all copyright and related interests remain with the author or her assigns. The finding aid was completed by Steve Ammidown, Manuscripts & Outreach Archivist, in August 2016.


PCL MS 175 Kay Hooper Collection

The Kay Hooper Collection contains approximately 2 linear feet of literary manuscripts, representing ten of the author’s more than 60 novels.  The collection contains literary manuscripts dating from 1991-1998. The materials were donated by Kay Hooper in 1998 and 1999. There are no restrictions placed on the collection for scholarly use, however all copyright and related interests remain with the author or her assigns. The April Kihlstrom Collection consists of four linear feet of literary manuscripts and related materials such as author’s notes and promotional matter. PCL MS 190 Carolyn Males Collection

The Carolyn Males Collection consists of a manuscript for the novel Hawaiian Heat. The novel was co-written by Carolyn Males and Louise Titchener under the name Clare Richmond. The collection was donated to the Browne Popular Culture Library by Carolyn Males in February 2000. There are no restrictions placed on the collection for scholarly use, however researchers are responsible for securing copyright permission when using all unpublished manuscripts and published works. The finding aid was completed by Manuscripts & Outreach Archivist Steve Ammidown in July 2016.


PCL MS 183 Alice Duncan Collection

The Alice Duncan Collection consists of 3 linear feet of literary manuscripts and related promotional materials. The manuscripts represented here were written under her own name or as Rachel Wilson. There are no restrictions placed on this collection for scholarly purposes. Copyright of all materials is retained by the author or her assigns, and researchers are responsible for securing copyright permission when using all unpublished manuscripts and published works. The materials were donated by Ms. Duncan in 1999, 2000, 2002, and 2009. The finding aid was completed by Manuscripts and Outreach Archivist Steve Ammidown in July 2016.


PCL MS 188 Olivia (Libby) Hall Collection

The Olivia (Libby) Hall Collection contains approximately 4.5 linear feet of literary manuscripts, correspondence and other materials related to the craft of writing.  The collection contains literary manuscripts dating from 1994-2002, with correspondence dating from 1983-2002. The materials were donated by Ms. Hall in 2000, with additional donations in 2001, 2002 and 2003. There are no restrictions placed on the collection for scholarly use, however all copyright and related interests remain with the author or her assigns.

The collection inventory was completed by Mary Koslovsky in 2006.  The finding aid was completed by Steve Ammidown, Manuscripts & Outreach Archivist, in July 2016.


PCL MS 187 Andrea Kent & Bette McNicholas Collection

The Andrea Kent & Bette McNicholas Collection consists of an original manuscript for the novel An Obsession With Honor, originally published by Warner Books in 1987. The manuscript was originally donated in December, 1999. This finding aid was completed by Manuscripts Archivist Steve Ammidown in July 2016.


PCL MS 142 Romance Writers of America Archives

This collection was donated to the Browne Popular Culture Library in 1995 by the Romance Writers of America (RWA). Several additions have been made to the collection since, the latest coming in 2008. The collection contains RWA's organizational archives, including historical information relating to the founding of the organization, Board of Directors information, correspondence, Annual Conference planning records, and multimedia materials. The collection is open for research, but any reproduction of materials must comply with applicable copyright laws. The finding aid was completed by Manuscripts & Outreach Archivist Steve Ammidown in September, 2016.


PCL MS 218 Emilie McGee

The Emilie McGee Manuscript Collection contains materials for 48 of her 60 published works. The collection consists primarily of manuscripts, but notes and a detailed synopsis are available for select works. This collection was donated to the Browne Popular Culture Library by Emilie McGee in May of 2012, with additional materials received in June of the same year. All documents are available for research, but photocopying or other duplication of manuscripts must comply with applicable copyright laws. This register was completed by intern Matt Kilmer in February, 2014.


PCL MS 185 Roberta Gellis Collection

The Roberta Gellis Collection consists of approximately 30 linear feet of documents and multimedia materials related to the author Roberta Gellis that date from 1951 to her passing in 2016. It contains manuscripts, outlines, proofs, handwritten first drafts of many published and unpublished works, computers disks containing manuscripts, and substantial amounts of her research.

Roberta Gellis transferred her collection to the Browne Popular Culture Library at Bowling Green State University in September 1999. An addition to the collection was made by her estate in 2016. The collection has no restrictions placed on its use for scholarly purposes. Researchers are responsible for securing copyright permission when using all unpublished manuscripts and published works, whether authored by Roberta Gellis or by other writers whose works may be found in this collection.

PCL MS 002 Dorothy Daniels Collection

Dorothy Smith Daniels was a prolific writer of novels of the Gothic genre. The core of the Dorothy Daniels Collection consists of correspondence, fan mail, literary manuscripts, galley sheets, story synopses, and books, dating from 1965 to 1985. In 1969, Dorothy Daniels began transferring her literary manuscripts to the Browne Popular Culture Library, Bowling Green State University, and continued to send additional manuscripts as they were written or published. The collection is open for research, however, the photocopying of manuscripts must comply with applicable copyright laws. This register has been compiled by Nancy White Lee, Popular Culture Library Associate II, in March 1986 and updated July 2009 by Patricia Falk.
