PCL MS 175 Kay Hooper Collection

The Kay Hooper Collection contains approximately 2 linear feet of literary manuscripts, representing ten of the author’s more than 60 novels.  The collection contains literary manuscripts dating from 1991-1998. The materials were donated by Kay Hooper in 1998 and 1999. There are no restrictions placed on the collection for scholarly use, however all copyright and related interests remain with the author or her assigns. The finding aid was completed by Steve Ammidown, Manuscripts & Outreach Archivist, in July 2016.


PCL MS 183 Alice Duncan Collection

The Alice Duncan Collection consists of 3 linear feet of literary manuscripts and related promotional materials. The manuscripts represented here were written under her own name or as Rachel Wilson. There are no restrictions placed on this collection for scholarly purposes. Copyright of all materials is retained by the author or her assigns, and researchers are responsible for securing copyright permission when using all unpublished manuscripts and published works. The materials were donated by Ms. Duncan in 1999, 2000, 2002, and 2009. The finding aid was completed by Manuscripts and Outreach Archivist Steve Ammidown in July 2016.


PCL MS 186 Malice Domestic Collection

The Malice Domestic Collection consists of the manuscripts of several editions of the mystery story compilation series, Malice Domestic. Cover proofs are included with the manuscripts for volumes 8 and 9. The collection was transferred to the Popular Culture Library at Bowling Green State University by Elizabeth Foxwell, series editor, in 1999 and 2000. The collection is open for research, but researchers should be aware that the copyright for each story rests with its author and that researchers are responsible for securing copyright permission when using all unpublished manuscripts and published works. This finding aid was completed by Steve Ammidown, Manuscripts & Outreach Archivist, in July 2016.


PCL MS 095 Steve Sherman Collection

Steve Sherman is an author of fiction and non-fiction works. Literary manuscripts are the basis for this collection. The materials were donated by Mr. Sherman to the Browne Popular Culture Library in 1987 at the request of Dr. Raymond Browne. The collection is open for research, however, photocopying of manuscripts must comply with applicable copyright laws. The initial inventory for this collection was compiled by Nancy White Lee, Popular Culture Library Associate II, in October 1989, and the finding aid was completed by Steve Ammidown, Manuscripts Archivist, in July 2016.

PCL MS 218 Emilie McGee

The Emilie McGee Manuscript Collection contains materials for 48 of her 60 published works. The collection consists primarily of manuscripts, but notes and a detailed synopsis are available for select works. This collection was donated to the Browne Popular Culture Library by Emilie McGee in May of 2012, with additional materials received in June of the same year. All documents are available for research, but photocopying or other duplication of manuscripts must comply with applicable copyright laws. This register was completed by intern Matt Kilmer in February, 2014.


PCL MS 002 Dorothy Daniels Collection

Dorothy Smith Daniels was a prolific writer of novels of the Gothic genre. The core of the Dorothy Daniels Collection consists of correspondence, fan mail, literary manuscripts, galley sheets, story synopses, and books, dating from 1965 to 1985. In 1969, Dorothy Daniels began transferring her literary manuscripts to the Browne Popular Culture Library, Bowling Green State University, and continued to send additional manuscripts as they were written or published. The collection is open for research, however, the photocopying of manuscripts must comply with applicable copyright laws. This register has been compiled by Nancy White Lee, Popular Culture Library Associate II, in March 1986 and updated July 2009 by Patricia Falk.
