Biographical / Historical

WIRE-AM 1430, based in Indianapolis, Indiana, was on the air from 1935-1990. The country music station achieved enormous ratings success in the 1960s, 70s and 80s. David Letterman purportedly worked at the station early in his career. The station was also known for its sports broadcasting and community service events.
