Title | E-Waste at Falcon Landing |

Description | Early on in the COVID-19 pandemic, I was unable to take some electronics to BGSU ITS for recycling, as I was told the service was discontinued. This appears to be impacting others, as seen here where a printer and CRT television can be seen at Falcon's Landing behind the Stroh Center. CRT monitors should not be thrown away like this due to the high levels of lead required to achieve desired qualities in the glass. Furthermore, implosion can occur if the vacuum is released. Yet with adequate recycling facilities unavailable, this resident appears to have consigned this Sanyo television to the landfill, where it could pose an environmental risk in the future. |
