Bowling Green (Ohio) -- History

The Don Cunningham papers contain materials spanning from 1951 to 1979. The types of documents include minutes from various meetings, incoming and outgoing correspondence, game reports, contracts, financial reports, budget information, game attendance reports, newsletters, brochures, photographs, and old game tickets. The correspondence and the minutes are the most complete records within the collection.

The Hollington family papers consists of correspondence and a commemorative postcard.

The papers of Ivan "Doc" Lake were part of the University Archives until separated and treated as a manuscript collection in 1980. The papers consist largely of newspaper clippings on the university and printed material about various university functions. The items in the collection date from 1911-1971.

The collection includes correspondence, subject files, literary productions, printed material, photographs, and artifacts. The items in this collection represent only a fraction of the material that was included in the donation; several other collections in the Center also benefitted from Mrs. Gordon’s legacy. Typed reminiscence of growing up in the West Wooster Street area of Bowling Green, a scrapbook chronicling her graduation from BGHS and her first year of college at the Western College for Women, and family photographs.

The Paul Willis Jones papers consists of correspondence, genealogical subject files, project subject files, literary materials, printed materials, and photographs related to the life and activities of Bowling Green Daily Sentinel-Tribune Editor Paul W. Jones.

The Van Tassel Family Papers document the history of this pioneer Wood County family during the 19th century. Correspondence, a journal, articles and books comprise the bulk of this collection.
