First Presbyterian Church (Ann Arbor, Michigan) records
Collection Overview
Scope and Contents
The First Presbyterian Church Collection consists of three Record Books. The Record Books, dated 1872 through 1941, contain baptism, marriage, and death information. Also included are eight Minute Books, dated 1858 through 1990. The church newsletter makes up the bulk of the collection. Dated inclusively from 1933-1993, this newsletter untitled until 1974 when it became the First Press, is contained within twenty-seven volumes. Of particular interest are three church manuals, 1841, 1868, and 1872, which list members, officers and clergy, along with Articles of Faith (1841, 1872) and a brief church history (1872 only).
