Collection Overview

Abstract

This collection contains records documenting intercollegiate and intramural sports at Bowling Green State University. The collection is comprised of two sub-collections: Sub-collection A consists of BGSU Department of Athletics records transferred to the Center for Archival Collections through regularly scheduled records transfers, while Sub-collection B consists of the Cochrane Cunningham Archives, a collection of documents, photographs, memorabilia, and artifacts on BGSU athletics history created in 1985 by former BGSU coaches/administrators Mickey Cochrane and Don Cunningham. The Cochrane Cunningham Archives were initially under the administrative oversight of the BGSU Athletics Department, but primary oversight of the collection was transferred to the Center for Archival Collections in 2019.
